Record and track project estimates in Buildr
Buildr’s estimating tool enables you to log estimates in your projects and view the full revision history of your submissions throughout the preconstruction process.
Create a New Estimate
To get started, navigate to the project and select the Estimates tab. Click "Create Estimate."
Here, you can enter your values for General Conditions and Construction Cost. Next, select the Estimate Phase. Include any additional information and click "Create."
Build Out Your Estimate
Once you've created an estimate, it's time to add your soft costs, contracting requirements, and markup fees.
Soft Costs and Contracting Requirements
Under Soft Costs and Contracting Requirements, click "+ Add Line Item."
Select the type of cost from the drop-down list and include a description. Next, choose the preferred formula for your selected cost (% of Division 2-48 Cost, % of Construction Cost, or Fixed Amount), and enter in your amounts / percentages.
When all is complete, click "Save," and your Total Contract Value will update accordingly.
Fee
Next, let's add our markup fee under the Fee section. Click "+ Add Fee," and select the formula. Enter in your amount / percentages and click "Save."
Your Total Contract Value will show the sum of construction costs, soft costs, contracting requirements, and markup fees.
Attachments
Lastly, you can upload a copy of your submitted estimate under Attachments.
Edit an Estimate
To edit an estimate, scroll down to your submitted estimates and click "View Estimate."
To edit estimate details, click "Edit" at the top of the page. To edit construction costs, soft costs, or fees, simply click the pencil icon on the individual line items.
Delete an Estimate
To delete an estimate, scroll down to your submitted estimates and click "Delete Estimate."
