Download the example budget import template here. The following fields will be imported into the project budget:
  • Cost Code
  • Cost Type (if enabled)
  • Group (if enabled)
  • Sub Job (if enabled)
  • Description
  • UOM (Unit of Measure)
  • Quantity
  • Unit Cost
Buildr’s default cost code system aligns with the CSI MasterFormat divisions. If you have custom cost codes you would like to import into your project, you will first need to add them at the account level. Learn how to manage cost codes in this article: Cost Codes. To import budget line items in your project, navigate to the budget tab, and select Import CSV. Next, name your import and select the import type:
  • Append: Line items will be added to the budget.
  • Replace All: The entire budget will be replaced with the imported data.
Next, upload your budget CSV, and map your columns in the importer. When your data is ready to be imported, click Import. Your imported budget will then become a new change request. You can then review the changes, collaborate with your team in the comments, and merge the imported items into the main budget. To learn more about change requests, click here: Change Requests.
