Guide to Task Management in Buildr

Tasks are a powerful tool for your team to collaborate and manage team tasks across your CRM. From scheduling a meeting to sending a budget and more, your team can stay on top of essential tasks directly in Buildr.

Overview

To get started, navigate to the Tasks tab in the main menu. Here, you can view all of your open tasks, your team's open tasks, and all completed tasks.

Apply quick filters on the left to view upcoming tasks, overdue items, and stale tasks (items that have not been updated in 30+ days). Additionally, you can filter by creation date, assignees, and Created By users.


Create a Task

To create a task, click "New Task."

Enter your task title and any additional notes. Next, you can optionally link your task to one of the following:

  • Project
  • Company
  • Lead

Additionally, you can link a contact, if relevant. When all of your task details are entered, assign your task and select a deadline (optional). Click "Create," and your task will appear in the Task tab, as well as on any associated projects, companies, leads, and contacts.

Note: You can also create a task directly in a project, company page, lead, or contact profile.


Task Lists

Tasks Lists are a valuable tool for your team to collaborate on long-running tasks on your projects. Assign multiple team members to various tasks in your task lists.

To get started, navigate to a project and select the Tasks tab. Next, click "New Task List."

Name your new task list and click "Create."

Once your task list is created, click "New Task" to create your first task.


Follow-Up Tasks

Buildr enables you to create a follow-up/repeat task once a task is marked as complete.

When you are ready to complete a task, you will see the option to create a follow-up task at the bottom of the task modal.

Here, you can create a follow-up task by clicking the check-mark and selecting a new deadline, if relevant.


Complete a Task

To complete a task, open the task and select "Complete Task" in the bottom-right corner of the task modal.


Delete a Task

To delete an existing task, click "Edit" and select "Delete Task."


Restore a Deleted Task

If you need to restore a deleted task, navigate to the Tasks tab and click "View deleted tasks" at the bottom of the page.

Next, click "Restore," and the task will reappear in your active task list.

Task Notifications

When a task is created and assigned, the assigned user will receive an email notification (Note: If you create a task and assign it to yourself, you will not receive an email notification).

Once a task is completed, the task creator will receive an email notification detailing the task & the assigned user who completed the task.
